These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Snap for Sale, an AI product recognition and price comparison service operated by Snap For Sale, Inc., a Delaware corporation. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Snap for Sale lets you upload a photo of a product, runs AI-based identification, and searches multiple online marketplaces to estimate a price range and a sell-or-pass score. Results are research aids — not a guarantee that any specific transaction will clear at any specific price.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Some features require 18+.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- One account per person. Do not share your login.
3. Accuracy of results — important disclaimer
Identification, price data, and the "sell or pass" score are produced by machine-learning models and third-party APIs. They can be wrong. Each identification carries a confidence rating (high / medium / low) which we surface on the result page, and you can re-run the analysis with corrected product details.
The Service is provided for informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, business, or legal advice. We do not guarantee that any item will sell, that any price quote is current, or that any third-party listing is accurate. Always verify with the platforms themselves before making purchase or sales decisions.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload images of illegal items, content you do not have rights to, or images depicting identifiable people without consent.
- Use the Service to target individuals, dox, harass, or violate any law.
- Resell, scrape, mirror, or attempt to derive a competing dataset from our results.
- Bypass rate limits, abuse the credit system, or use the Service via unauthorized automation.
- Probe, attack, or interfere with our infrastructure or other users' accounts.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules and may forfeit credits purchased on suspended accounts.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of every image you upload. By uploading, you grant Snap for Sale a worldwide, royalty-free license to store the image and to send it to our AI and search providers (Section 3 of the Privacy Policy lists them) for the sole purpose of producing your analysis. We do not sell your images and we do not use them to train third-party models without your explicit consent.
6. Credits, subscriptions, and pricing
- Each completed analysis costs 30 credits.
- New accounts receive 90 free credits on signup.
- Both inviter and invitee receive 90 credits when a successful referral signs up.
- The Starter subscription is $4.99/month and grants 200 credits on activation.
- The 200-credit add-on is a one-time purchase of $1.99.
- Credits do not expire while your account is active.
- Prices may change. Existing subscribers will be notified before any change takes effect.
7. Refunds and cancellation
- Failed analyses — if our pipeline fails to return a complete result, credits for that analysis are refunded automatically.
- Manual refund window — you may request a refund of unused credits or a recently-paid subscription within 7 days of payment by emailing support@snapforsale.app. Refunds outside this window are at our discretion.
- Subscriptions — you may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not pro-rate the current period.
- Refunds for accounts terminated due to abuse (Section 4) will not be granted.
8. Account termination and deletion
You may close your account at any time by emailing support@snapforsale.app. We will delete your uploaded images and account data, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records).
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or if continued service would expose us or other users to legal, security, or financial risk.
9. Third-party platforms and trademarks
Snap for Sale aggregates publicly available data from third-party marketplaces (including Taobao, 1688, Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Newegg). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with these platforms. All product names, logos, and trademarks are property of their respective owners. We exit the path with a confirmation prompt before sending you to any third-party site.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snap For Sale, Inc., its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) US $50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Snap For Sale, Inc. harmless from any claim, demand, or damages arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where local consumer-protection law gives you a non-waivable right to bring suit elsewhere.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, communicated by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
